.::oh hello monday::.
that snuck up on me! sometimes i don't know where the week goes and then it's the weekend and then i don't know where that goes either and here you are monday :D
i have lots of stuff i've been working on but none i'm quite ready to share yet but this week i will be a much better blogger again that heat wave and the move really cramped my style man ;)
i spent most of the weekend in bed sleeping and watching movies and getting over being sick, but it was actually nice. in the process i watched the following...
The Spirit
So i finally got to see this movie...i really, really wanted to see it in the theaters but i don't actually make it to the movies that often and then everyone was saying how disappointing it was and how it sucked and i got so sad that i thought i would wait for the dvd...i get really bummed out when comic book movies i'm dying to see suck...i can see why it got the bad reviews...don't get me wrong it's gorgeous...stylistically brilliant but the characters are cardboard...none of the depth created in Sin City which i adore...Frank Miller just didn't pull it off, i wonder if there was another director or writer if it would have been better. The characters just ended up caricatures, uninteresting and a bit silly but not in the good way...sigh...it sure was pretty though!
Then The Wrestler
.......OMG this was soooooo freaking good, beautifully shot and directed with a flawless performance from Mickey Rourke...and i'm not the guys biggest fan given his past with women but man he makes you love this character. It brought me back to me and my little brother watching WWF together marathons of it, hulk hogan and andre the giant were our faves...this movie is smart, funny, sad and real. I loved it.
then Caprica
sigh....oh how i've missed you BSG...how i can't wait to own you in your entirety on DVD and watch you again and again and again...but until then i have things like Caprica which i didn't have a ton of hope about not sucking but it totes didn't suck!!! I really enjoyed it, great performances from the actors and the young actresses and a really interesting insight to the prequel of BSG...if only george lucas was this good...dear BSG i love you forever and ever and ever xoxo kiki!
and um i can't WAIT for this......OMG GAMBIT one of my all time fave X-men Characters and duh Wolverine!!!!
being the dork that i am, i am of course gonna have an x-men marathon prior to the movie even though x-men united bit the big one!!! dear hugh jackman thank you for making wolverine kick ass on the big screen xoxo kiki!!! I'm really excited to see Gambit on the big screen and my friend Jim Lee is the creator of Gambit...so freaking cool!!! Dear jim you kick all kinds of ass...duh xoxo kiki :D
and i want this even tho its late for earth day no more water bottles!!!
