Holidayland Art Opening + Gift Sale

Holidayland is back!

This is the second year we will be joining forces with Blankspace located next door to create a holiday Extravaganza! This year we are looking to offer more local original artwork, handmade crafty items, accessories, cards, ornaments, tote bags and creative fun stuff. Both galleries will be themed with rustic Paul Bunyan decor and will feature over 100 great local artists, designers and craftspeople. Small works of art, ceramics, accessories, paper goods, household goods, gifts for kiddies, jewelry and many more affordable indie gifts. Many fun activities through out the sale including- Get your holiday photo taken in our themed photo booth (proceeds go to Art in Oakland Schools) and spin the Wheel o’ bounty for prizes.

I'm super happy to be cooking my delish tofurkey, fresh stuffing, mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy and cranberry sauce all vegan with my roommates and pie!!! And rolls and green bean casserole!  And panda too he is wearing his xmas PJ's and we are all in our pj's watching movies, cooking, relaxing and enjoying this time together stress free and quiet!!! My Monday kinda sucked, stress emotional turmoil, did I mention stress??? BUT I got the sweetest little tweet from Jena of modish that she had featured my space on Modish Handmade Spaces!!! You can see the lovely post here omg I'm sooo honored!!! It was seriously the best surprise on a Monday EVER!!! It was really cool that she featured my space since I live in San Francisco where rent is might expensive and work out of my room/studio!!!  So yeah that's my bed/desk ;) Anyway it was a really nice surprise!!!

I'm working like crazy finishing up some projects and pieces for HOLIDAYLAND the big group show Holiday handmade extravaganza put on by Compound Gallery and Blankspace Gallery in Oakland, CA!!! It's going to be soooo RAD that's a capital R*A*D!!!! Check it out!!!

If you are local YOU HAVE to go and come to the opening reception and meet me live in person...I can't wait to break out my new plaid fake glasses that match my peacock feather hair............sweeeeeeet!!!!  So yeah I feel crazy soooo much work, so little time, Holidays prep, 3 craft shows still yikes!!!! Stresscakes but at least its the best kind of stress right??? One little emotional breakdown or two is normal ;)

oh hello monday!

Wheew! It's been quite the weekend I'm exhausted but soooo much fun!!! Yesterday was the AMAZING SF indie mart it was a beautiful, beautiful day and there were sooooooooooo many amazing vendors I wish I could have bought EVERYTHING!!!!  But I did get to trade for some really cute stuff don't worry I'll share soon!!! I had a blast everyone was super sweet and there was a great turnout!  Here are some pics of my table, I'm still working on it, I want a better sign and more levels and a better way to display my original art and prints.........sigh............

 

 

 

 

 

oh and I just love this little owly, he sold but I will be making more!!!

I got new hair color the peacock feather colorsssss amazingness by Heather at dekko salon seriously go see her she is a freaking GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!! This picture doesn't accurately showcase all the beautiful colors in my hair....I actually had people stop me to take pictures of my hair!!! I will try to get some better pictures soon!!!

 

And here are some cute new cards and ACEO's I've been working on but they are not in my shop yet......I made them for the craft show season but do you like them??? I might make more just for etsy and some more smaller watercolor paintings and slightly larger drawing because I do love to draw animals...do you want them in the shop??? Do you want to buy them??? I really don't know what people like I just draw what I want and hope  people like it :P

Jeez, I don't know how it's Friday already!!! Sorry for the sporadic posts this week I've been totally swamped!!! I can't share my little secret project yet but I will be able to next week!!!!!!!! WHOOO!! So excited about that!!!! I also have some Halloween photos to share super fun!! But the excitement for this weekend is I will be at SF Indie Mart This Sunday November 8th @ Thee Parkside!!! It's going to be soooo much fun and I'm sooo super excited!!!! If you are local you should definitely stop by for all the arts and crafty goodness, ping pong and demo's!!!

I have a whole list of events upcoming for the holidays as well so lots of blog catchcing up to do next week and new paintings!!!! Oh and I just got some brand new cards, I'm really happy with them, they are smaller than the ones in the shop now but matte instead of glossy and really beautiful!

Also one more thing I'm a part of the lovely papernstitch again this month and feel soooo lucky and honored to be a in the same group with such other lovely and talented artists and crafters!!!
