I'm feeling a goth 80's nostalgia inspiration today. I kind of forgot how amazing goth dancing can be especially when you dance all by yourself to the music that always understood you in those formative years and really still does. There is an immense freedom to it and even though the dj didn't play this charming man as I requested she did ok. I love dark hair, eyeliner and perpetual melancholy. The pixies subbacultcha, for real. Now you know some of my secrets.

I had the opportunity to meet Jill Thompson a few times and I'm such a fan I felt like a moron! I've met lots of well known comic book artists but only certain ones get me all geeked out like a fan and she was one of them. Female artists especially got me all fan girled out and vertigo at the time was like the thing. Reading these comics in high school was everything, reading them and listening to the cure. Those were the days (not really but part of those days were amazing).

Pardon my dust...
oh heeeey!
You might have noticed that the blog is a changin...I'm in the middle of a re-design and it's my first dabble into CSS so it's kind of happening slowly but surely so hang on hopefully it will be done soon. Anyone know how I can get rid of that blue bar at the top above my banner? I want it to be all white...
I'm excited for the changes and here are some pictures of my newish studio space, my sisters space is right next to mine before we fixed it up and after at the opening lots of love went into it! I really enjoy having an art space away from my bedroom, I can spread out, so much easier to clean up, I can leave my work in progress and not worry about splattering paint on my blanket! It's also really inspiring being in a shared art space, I love getting feedback from the other artists and being able to look at thier work and process. It has been a pricless experience! Also here is peek recap of the summer with my sister in pictures and I would like to introduce Albie my baby man that I adopted in April, yes he is adorable!!! Don't worry more pictures of him to come!
