So this is actually technically dorky but whatever for the love of all that is STAR WARS.....................
poster by drew struzan don't know him??? get on that! Basically THE best movie poster illustrator EVER! sigh LOVE illustration, illustrators are sick!
My love affair and dork affiliation with Star Wars began on my living room floor on VHS recorded commercial free from HBO with my little brother...within the first five minutes I had nearly peed myself. Until that point the only sci-fi special effects I had really seen were from movies like The Black Hole, Escape to Witch Mountain, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and The Last Starfighter. I was already sci-fi obsessed but once we saw Star Wars it was over.....I don't think we moved once, we just tensely sat there mouths hung open in awe it was literally one of the coolest moments of my life. No I'm not joking....I told you I'm a dork and I take it seriously and Star Wars started it all.
Dear George Lucas, thank you for the bright star of my childhood called Star Wars your genius and innovation shall last forever regardless of recent follies (cough episodes I, II & III). P.S. I forgive you for JarJar...almost...........
